2010 Summerfest and Black Arts Festival
International Summerfest and the Black Arts Festival August 7, 2010
The International SummerFest is one of Battle Creek's oldest festivals, and was created by the Battle Creek Area International Relations Committee to promote cultural and ethnic exchange for the enrichment of the Battle Creek community.
The International SummerFest is an excellent opportunity for the community to enjoy wonderful international food and entertainment. It is also a great chance to broaden awareness of other cultures and history that are present in the Battle Creek community.
This year the International SummerFest and the Black Arts Festival of the Urban League's Young Professionals have partnered to bring to the community and its visitors an even greater Festival with food, entertainment, children's activities, vendors and art exhibits.
The date of the Festival also coincides with the 2010 Hap Ki Do World Championships being held at the Kellogg Arena. Hundreds of participants from around the world will be participating in this, the 8th Triennial World Hap Ki Do Championships.
JOIN WITH US AT THE SUMMERFEST ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 7, 2010, IN MILL RACE PARK TO ENJOY THE FLAVOR OF INTERNATIONAL FOODS, ENTERTAINMENT AND CULTURE AND WELCOME THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE 8TH TRIENNIAL WORLD HAP KI DO CHAMPIONSHIPS.
